- Light / position: This plant grows best in bright, indirect light. Musa tolerates partial shade or some direct sunlight as well.
- Watering: Keep the soil slightly moist.
- Temperature: Min. 10 °C, but prefers 18 to 24 °C. 
- Humidity: This plant requires high humidity. Spray regularly or use a humidifier to avoid damaged leaves.
